Creator & Affiliate Collaboration Terms
HU London Creator & Affiliate Collaboration Terms
1. Overview
HU London may collaborate with selected creators, influencers, affiliates and brand partners through personalised discount codes, gifted products, commission-based collaborations and promotional campaigns.
Each creator may receive a personalised discount code, such as NAME10, which can be shared with their audience across approved social media platforms, websites, stories, videos or other agreed promotional channels.
2. Personalised Discount Codes
Each discount code is created individually and may include the creator’s name, brand name, nickname or another agreed phrase.
The standard discount offered to the audience may vary depending on the campaign, product category, promotion period or internal brand strategy. HU London reserves the right to update, pause, reduce, increase or remove any discount code at any time, with reasonable notice to the creator where possible.
Discount codes are intended only for promotional use and must not be misrepresented as official endorsements from third-party publications, retailers or media partners.
3. Commission
Creators may receive commission from confirmed orders generated through their personalised discount code.
Commission rates are agreed individually between HU London and each creator. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, commission is calculated only on confirmed orders, excluding cancelled orders, refunded orders, returned products, shipping fees, taxes and fraudulent transactions.
Commission payments are usually reviewed and calculated at the end of each calendar month.
4. Gifted Products
HU London may provide selected creators with gifted products for testing, review or content creation.
Gifted products remain part of the collaboration and must be disclosed clearly where required by UK advertising rules. Receiving gifted products does not give the creator permission to make false, exaggerated or misleading claims about HU London products.
5. Content & Brand Use
Creators may mention HU London and use the HU London brand name in content created as part of the collaboration, including posts, stories, videos, captions, product demonstrations and promotional materials.
The brand must be presented in a positive, professional and accurate manner, aligned with HU London’s premium image. The HU London name, product names, logos, media appearances or brand assets must not be used in offensive, misleading, political, controversial or damaging contexts.
Creators may mention HU London’s media features, including British Vogue, Vanity Fair and British GQ, only in an accurate and factual way. Creators must not suggest that these publications officially recommend, sponsor, approve or endorse HU London products unless such endorsement has been formally granted in writing.
6. Advertising Disclosure
Creators are responsible for ensuring that all content published as part of the collaboration complies with UK advertising and consumer protection rules.
Where a creator receives gifted products, payment, commission, affiliate benefits or uses a personalised discount code, the commercial relationship must be clearly disclosed to the audience.
Suitable disclosure labels may include AD, Advert, Paid Partnership, or Gifted PR Product, depending on the format and nature of the content.
The disclosure must be clear, visible and easy to understand. It should not be hidden at the end of a caption or placed only among multiple hashtags.
ASA guidance states that affiliate marketing includes personalised links or codes where the influencer earns commission from sales, and CMA guidance says that simply tagging a brand or using discount codes/affiliate links is not enough for clear disclosure.
7. Prohibited Claims
Creators must not make misleading, medical, guaranteed or exaggerated claims about HU London products.
Examples of claims to avoid include:
“Guaranteed results”
“Repairs hair permanently”
“The best product in the UK”
“Officially recommended by Vogue/GQ/Vanity Fair”
“Works for everyone instantly”
Creators should speak honestly about their own experience with the products.
8. Confidentiality
Commission rates, sales data, internal reports, campaign performance, private communications and commercial terms are confidential between HU London and the creator, unless both parties agree otherwise in writing.
9. Changes or Termination
HU London may modify, pause or end a creator collaboration, discount code or commission structure if required due to business needs, campaign changes, misuse of the code, misleading content, breach of advertising rules or any action that could harm the reputation of the brand.
